Abstract :
This paper is aiming at the CBQ-based call admission control (CAC) for a WCDMA downlink in a multiservice context. A hierarchical link-sharing structure is used to express multiple link-sharing constraints on a radio downlink. All sharing connections on the Link are assigned to one of the leaf classes; the inferior classes are used to designate guidelines about bow ´excess´ transmission power should be allocated. By fully exploiting the advantages of sharing ´excess´ transmission power occurring at every inferior class in the hierarchical Link-sharing structure, the proposed CAC algorithm greatly improves the system performance.
