Abstract
The hardware for humanoid household robots would be available in the near future. As households are unstructured domains and interaction with human users is ambiguous, these robots encounter unexpected situations, so called exceptions. These render the robot unusable, if not handled fast and transparently to the user. Telepresent exception handling gives the technical staff an intuitive interface to the robots and is transparent to the client. We propose a service center for telepresent exception handling, which is directly available and thus allows the use of humanoid domestic robots as soon as the corresponding hardware is commercially available.
