  • Abstract
It has important significance to exactly forecast trip spatial distribution for transportation management and control. Based on summing up the study in respect of traffic resistance in the gravity model, after the analysis of the relative factors of the resistance, the synthetical generalized cost is presented as the traffic resistance. Then the intensity of link within a zone is defined, as well as the method of judging the intensity progression is presented. According to these, the model and the algorithm of generalize cost, which correlating the zone intensity progression is set up. Applying generalization cost as the traffic resistance to the bi-restriction gravity model makes the trip distribution can reflect fully society, economy and land utilization among zone, which can increase the computing accuracy and speed in forecasting trip spatial distribution.
