Abstract
In this paper, we test the performance of optimal space-frequency code (SFC) (Y. Chen et al., 2004) in multiple input multiple output (MIMO) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) communication system on Stevens wireless testbed. As a comparison, we also test the performance of single input single output (SISO) system and MIMO system with simple transmit delay diversity in the same frequency-selective fading environment. All the implementations are based on IEEE 802.11 standards. The experimental results show that optimal space-frequency code is robust against the impairments of practical system.
