Abstract
This paper describes an approach that offers a more general and easier way to access the knowledge repository as a useful part of a knowledge management system. The approach applies a domain ontology in the query text analysis and ontology mapping technique in the knowledge search process. It sets up relationship between the query text in unstructured natural language expressions and the instances in the knowledge base to find those instances that match the condition expressed by the query most. The application magnifies the scope of ontology, and promotes the applicability of ontology-based system.
