  • Abstract
    This paper proposes an enhanced 8-VSB DTV receiver using a spatial diversity technique which consists of two beamformers and a simple equalizer. The beamforming technique is very helpful in improving the performance of a conventional DTV receiver. But DTV receivers combining beamforming techniques have limitations of hardware implementation according to the number of antenna elements. So, sometimes performance degradation occurs due to insufficient degree of freedom. The diversity technique can solve that problem by combining an adaptive beamforming technique. The proposed DTV receivers have fast convergence speed and an input SNR gain according to the number of antenna elements and beamformers.
