  • Abstract
Wireless networks must be able to inter-work with each other, rather than to coexist, if they are to be able to exchange information across the different networks. The paper introduces a concept for interoperability of wireless LANs in the 5 GHz unlicensed band, namely HiperLAN/2 and IEEE 802.11. The interoperability concept suggests the integration of the HiperLAN/2 MAC frame into the IEEE 802.11e super frame.
