Abstract :
This communication highlights the impact of channel correlations, including cross-correlation terms, on various relevant metrics, namely the squared channel Frobenius norm and as well as capacity metrics, directly linked with the channel covariance matrix. Using the developed metrics, lie compare various antenna configurations, with a focus on multi-polarized systems. Several orthogonal schemes, such as horizontal-vertical and slant schemes, are investigated, and analytical expressions are presented.
