Abstract :
The paper presents the design, fabrication and experiments of an emitter front-end for millimeter-wave applications in the 45 GHz frequency range. The circuit integrates a 15-45 GHz frequency multiplier with a micromachined Yagi-Uda antenna. Electromagnetic simulations and nonlinear optimization were used in the design. A new technological process dedicated to endfire type antennas is presented. The experimental Yagi-Uda antenna gain and the characterization of the emitter front-end are presented.
