  • Abstract
A numerical simulation of trabecular bone structure MR imaging is described. The input of the model is derived from synchrotron 3D μCT trabecular bone images with a resolution of 14μm×14μm×14μm. The static magnetic field perturbation in the bone sample induced by the differences in magnetic susceptibility values between mineralized bone and bone marrow is computed and the MRI experiment for a selected imaging sequence is modeled.
