Abstract :
It is important to remain the knowledge in the enterprise as more as possible. How to recognize the value of the knowledge? The useful knowledge must be applied in business process by the staff in enterprise. So, knowledge management includes not only document but also several factors, such as employee, business process. Human is the user of the knowledge. With the proper policy, he will also be a good developer of the knowledge. Business process tells us how to use the knowledge, such as where, when, who, etc. Another important thing in manufacturing enterprise is how to define the user of the knowledge. The staffs, who are in the business process, authorized to access the knowledge of enterprise. Knowledge belongs to enterprise. Logically, knowledge should be remained in company system, not remained in person´s brain. To manage the knowledge more efficiently, ongoing knowledge and project knowledge must be applied in different model. Building knowledge management system is the important means to raise the organization ability. The system should manage the relationship of person, knowledge and business process. The system will help people to find his related knowledge along with the business process, which has been defined in the organization. The system should support the personal working portal and position knowledge portal to raise the work efficiency. This article points out the knowledge management architecture and system implementation emphasizing on the application of the knowledge. In the meanwhile, the paper also gives the sharing experience of knowledge management in Baosteel group.
