Abstract
In orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems, the peak to average power ratio (PAR) is much high. The clipping signal scheme is a useful method to reduce PAR, but using this scheme, the subcarriers´ orthogonality is destroyed. In order to weaken the effect of clipping scheme to systems´ performance, the conic function scheme is proposed to retrieve the clipped signal. Considering the continuity of signal and the finger of the peak, we obtain a certain conic function curve as the retrieved signal´s module within the clipped time. The results of simulation show that the proposed scheme can reduce the systems´ BER 10 times compared to the traditional scheme when signal-to-interference-and noise-ratio (SINR) equals to 12dB. And the performance of the proposed scheme is superior to already existent schemes, too.
