Abstract
We propose a testing method using a testing policy for object behaviors. It is a kind of black-box testing based on gathering and evaluating message traces for IDL in real-time distributed object systems. Because the tasting policy enables the separation of IDL with real-time constraints specifications and their implementation architecture, multi-vendor developers can agree on the specifications for observing IDL behaviors in system functional test. In addition, we show the effectiveness of our proposed method by experimental evaluation of overhead characteristics for message tracing.
