Abstract
Frequency reuse and call blocking are the main issues that affect the performance of the time division multiple access (TDMA) wireless local loop (WLL). An alternative method to improve the performance of TDMA WLL by using multi-hop borrowing channel assignment (MHBCA) in order to reduce call blocking, and path loss between a base station (BS) and subscriber units of the cellular-based WLL network are proposed. The numerical results show that the proposed strategy significantly reduces the call blocking rate and the path loss of TDMA WLL systems.
