Abstract :
In this paper, we present a method for realizing slur-style sound synthesis based on a digital waveguide model of plucked string. The method introduces scattering junction with a varying reflection coefficient into a vibrating siring. The resulting sound is natural in hearing and exhibits the smooth pitch transition.
