  • Abstract
    This research proposes an algorithm and the initial design framework of the printing proof system for use in the manufacturing of the consumer product labels and packages. The proposed system aims at detecting error of the printing process during the production stage, which can reduce the cost and increase the customer satisfaction. The pattern and color matching algorithm is designed around the concept of object correlation and color segmentation. The initial results of the error detection algorithm are described. The proposed system is designed to be used as a quality assurance station at the end of the manufacturing line, reducing the time and cost spending on manual proving process.
