Abstract :
Use of evolutionary computing in design of orthogonal or near orthogonal scaling filters with additional linear equation constraints is investigated. Two dimension reduction methods are proposed. Differential evolution algorithm is used as optimization tool. As design examples, near orthogonal K-regular 2 and 3-band scaling filters with additional moment conditions are constructed.
