Abstract :
In this paper, we present a space-time scheme for downlink multibeamformer for time division synchronous code division multiple access (TD-SCDMA) base stations with smart antennas. To improve spatial resolution of the antenna array of the base stations, we propose a triangle antenna array model, and devise the corresponding downlink beamformer algorithm by LMSE algorithm. The time-varying weight coefficients for the downlink beamformer are estimated by the feedback data from its uplink of the TD-SCDMA system. Simultaneously the performance analysis and the simulation results of the space-time downlink beamformer for TD-SCDMA base stations are given. The results show that the implementation scheme for the smart antenna of TD-SCDMA systems can improve the performance of the systems effectively.
