Abstract :
The improvement of power quality, one of the characteristics of the VSC-HVDC (voltage source converter based HVDC) system, for the lower load range has been completely analyzed. The linear-balanced, linear-unbalanced, non-linear balanced and non-linear unbalanced loads are considered. Digital simulation shows the validity of the characteristic.
