Abstract
In this paper, to simply detect the resonance frequencies of an elastic spherical shell, the technique using a TSP (time-stretched pulse), which has a flat frequency spectrum and enables to get a high SN ratio, as the input signal was investigated. In the experiment, resonance frequencies of a water-filled rubber spherical shell were measured using the TSP with changing the radius of the shell. As a result, the resonance frequencies became lower as the radius increased. Then, the measured resonance frequencies were compared with ones obtained theoretically. They were in good agreement with each other although the Young´s modulus of the shell was greatly different from the standard value.
