Abstract :
The performance of collaborative beamforming is studied using the theory of random arrays within the framework of wireless sensor networks. With the application to ad hoc networks in mind, two scenarios, one denoted closed-loop and the other open-loop, are considered. Associated with these scenarios, the effects of phase jitter and location estimation errors on the average beam pattern are analyzed.
