Abstract :
The advanced features of the new H.26L video coding standard are compared and their performance is analyzed in the paper. The computational complexity and the compression performance of the codec have also been evaluated. Experimental results show that advanced features do not have an impact on the bitstream size in all cases. On the other hand, they may significantly affect the encoding time. The quality of the encoded streams does not change considerably.
