Abstract :
Recent trends in radiotherapy have emphasized the precise focus of a beam applied to a tumor location. However, tissue motion resulting from respiration presents an obstacle to safe treatment The inevitable solution to this problem is respiration phase monitoring. This paper proposes an ultrasound-based method for monitoring patient tissue motion caused by respiration, then goes on to assess the accuracy of this method and present a respiration curve obtained by this method.
