´Broadband China´ strategy: network and application

The State Council of the People\´s Republic of China issued a "Broadband China\´ Strategy and Implementation Plan\´ on 17 August, 2013 (hereinafter referred to as the Plan). In the Plan, the development goals during the first two phases before 2020 have been put forward. In addition, the technical route, development schedule and the support measures for speeding up the network construction have been defined. "Broadband China" has become a national strategy instead of a single action being undertaken by a government department.
