Abstract :
A novel equivalent circuit expression is proposed for electromagnetic coupling between two distributed line resonators. The coupling coefficients in this definition may be positive, zero and negative. Based on this definition, 4-pole elliptic function filters of two types are designed by using Sonnet em. The definition is effective for design of filters with multipoles in the stopbands.
