Abstract :
A dual-fed circular sector antenna system is developed for a two-way receiving system. A dual-fed circular sector antenna consists of a microstrip circular sector, a microstrip feeder, and a coaxial feeder. One feeder is used for a rectenna, while the other is utilized for a RF receiver. Moreover, thanks to harmonic-rejection characteristics of the antenna, the compact system can be implemented without bandpass filters at each rectenna and RF receiver. The proposed system is evaluated by the demodulation of the 1-MHz data in the ASK format for the RF receiver as well as a total conversion efficiency measurement of up to 80 %for the rectenna.
