Abstract
Recently, wireless systems operating at higher frequencies, such as wireless LAN devices, ultra wide band (UWB) devices, etc., have become popular. Consequently, evaluation of the interaction between these systems and the human body has become increasingly important. From this viewpoint, a biological tissue-equivalent solid phantom for 3 to 6 GHz was developed (Ishido, R., et al., 2004). The paper presents a study on SAR measurement based on a thermographic method. We have shown that the thermographic method can be adapted for SAR measurement in the tested frequency range if heat diffusion is carefully considered.
