Abstract
A review of photonic beam former activities at TNO-FEL is reported. Both coherent and incoherent beam formers are presented. Optical beamforming is said to be the most suitable for true time delay beam forming, in which the relative bandwidth of the microwave signal referred to the optical carrier is almost zero.
