Abstract :
cdma2000 1xEV-DV provides high-speed data services, as well as voice service, in the forward link. This paper provides the link budget of F-PDCH (forward packet data channel), i.e., forward link high-speed data traffic channel of cdma2000 1xEV-DV, taking the gains brought by different advanced techniques into consideration. These gains, including multiple-user diversity gain, cell switching gain and HARQ gain, are achieved by theoretical analysis. From numerical results, F-PDCH of cdma2000 1xEV-DV provides much larger coverage than F-SCH (forward supplemental channel) existing in cdma2000 1x. Furthermore, the effects of voice users and the number of active data users are studied.
