Abstract :
The paper analyses the characteristics of elastic waves in crystal lattices with respect to ultrasonic frequency converters. The distribution of ultrasound-waves in quartz resonators was investigated. Work was carried out on the 5th harmonic of resonators excited by a standard signal generator. The ultrasound wave of this harmonic was distributed in the crystal and, on another pair of electrodes, raised a variable electromotive force, which was registered by a selective microvoltmeter. As a result of the experiments, it is found that, except for the basic signal harmonics, there are signals of additional frequencies that are not present in usual resonators. The result confirms our conclusions about the transformation of frequencies.
