Abstract :
The low pressure electrical arc discharger with hollow cathode is a unique device in modern electrotechnology for processing ultradisperse powders of size 10 microns and less. This paper addresses the problem of input of a powder in the high jet zone of a plasma column, and the thermal and mechanical influences on the particles. In NSTU experiments on the development of new leading-edge technologies are being carried out with process refinements and spheroidization of particles. Positive results by condensation and drawing of coatings are achieved by the introduction of a steam phase with subsequent condensation. Experimental and theoretical researches have shown that the offered process allows us to carry out electron-ion heating of a powder, producing almost 100% output of a ready product.
