  • Abstract
    This paper describes a project which created an ultrasound plant for the impregnation of insulation of the windings of electrical machines. The ultrasound waves have a strong influence on the impregnation varnish, intensifying the capillary effect and promoting its penetration into narrow channels, cavities and microcracks. The basic technical parameters, results of preproduction exploitation, and indices of economic efficiency are presented.
