Abstract :
Urgent problems of developing "intelligent" frequency converters for industrial sensorless AC drives and a few ways of solving them have been discussed. The particular features of implementing active "off-line" parametric identification techniques and adaptive control laws have been considered. The "on-line" identification algorithms of variable parameters and non measurable coordinates of electrical machines used in variable-frequency induction motor drives have been analysed.
