  • Abstract
    Modeling a TEM cell with a numerical field calculation program, the total electric and magnetic field inside the cell can be calculated only. The contribution of higher order modes can not be isolated. This article provides a method to extract higher order mode fields out of the total field and a procedure to determine the resonant frequencies and the type of higher order modes appearing in a Crawford cell. The method combines numerical field computations with analytical field calculations for higher order modes
