Abstract :
A scaler is widely used in modern video systems to achieve the goals of scaling images and converting various video sources to various display devices, also called format conversion. Data synchronization, line-lock and output format generation are several important issues. This paper presents a scaler engine which tackles these issues with a novel loop control method.
