Abstract
For the development of renewable energy, the control of active and reactive power in a doubly fed induction generator was studied. And to expand operation range of that, a control method that takes into account the apparent power is proposed. The characteristic was verified by an experiment that applied a dual direction AC/DC/AC electrical power converter to a 10 kW DFIG.
