Abstract :
Distributed production system is found more capable for very complicated systems of production, providing them with flexibility, scalability, robustness, and diversity. However, its complete lack of central control mechanism cannot be maintained to produce meaningful products through the production system. The unification of parts and packets enables an event driven production system, which is expected to resolve the dichotomy of "central control" and "distributed control" of production. It even unifies the asymmetric production systems, production at a factory and production on site. This paper exemplifies a part of such production system, in which the gate control mechanism is at issue
