Abstract
In this paper I discuss the most common approaches to the supply chain problem. I argue that they rest on static ideas while thc supply chain network is better viewed as an ongoing activity for which the suggested methods are inappropriate. Hence, none of the popular methods has a suitable model of the problem. Instead I suggest intinitc gamcs as a computational modcl for the information flow in a supply chain. Thcy arc games of infinite duration and haw been used as model for several non-terminating systems. The objcctive of the paper is not to prescnt a ready made application but to show an interesring and, as I believe, a fruitful new approach to thc solution of the supply chain problem.
