Abstract :
In this paper we propose a very fast and high accurate image enlargement algorithm, which estimates unknown pixel values in the image by using a weighted sum or linear extrapolations or the pixels neighboring to the pixel to be estimated. The validity and the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms are verified by applying it to the enlargement of the actual digital images. The experimental results show that the performance of the proposed algorithm is superior to other typical image enlargement algorithms.
