Abstract :
In the second half of the 90´s, TOYOTA succeeded in shortening lend time of product development dramatically by using information technologies. Especially, the information network built from TDYOTA to the supplier reformed the communication methods and the decision-making mechanisms under product development. This reformation changed the product development process and shortened lead time.
