Abstract :
In this paper, a novel bispectrum-based channel estimation algorithm for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system in fast fading channels is proposed. As the bispectrum of Gaussian noise is zero, the noisy channel estimate of pilot tones obtained from LS method can be improved significantly by bispectrum-filtering. The proposed algorithm can accurately estimate the channel response in the presence of additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) and intercarrier interference (ICI) without the knowledge of channel statistics. Simulation results in terms of bit error rate (BER) demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
