Abstract :
In this paper, a new adaptive step-size CMA blind equalization algorithm has been proposed to enhance the performance of the constant modulus algorithm (CMA) for blind equalization of time-varying channel. The time-varying step-size sequence is adjusted by the autocorrelation of the error signal. The new algorithm provides fast convergence at early stages of iteration while ensuring small final misadjustment. Simulation results comparing the proposed algorithm and conventional CMA algorithm confirm the new algorithm´s improved performance.
