  • Abstract
Fault are always detected and diagnosed by analysing signals with fault features. This paper tries to introduce the wavelet analysis into the fault detection of the control system by analysing the fault signal, and provides an effective approach to detect faults in electro-hydraulic servo (EHS) system. A wavelet model based approach (WMBA) has been developed. This model is used to generate residual signal by comparing the healthy signal with the signal in the running system. By processing the residual signal, faults from incipient fault to serious fault can be detected effectively.
