Abstract :
For greatly improving convergence rate of constant modulus algorithm (CMA) and reducing residual mean square error (MSE) of sign error constant modulus algorithm (SECMA). A novel mixed constant modulus cost function is defined. A novel mixed constant modulus algorithm (NMCMA) is created. Equalizer coefficients of the NMCMA are updated using two gradient vectors based on the CMA and the SECMA. The NMCMA has the features of fast convergence and low residual MSE. The performance of the NMCMA can be improved by adjusting the coefficients of two gradient vectors. Through computer simulation of shallow water channel equalization the efficiency of the NMCMA is proved.
