Abstract
Protective geometry has been proved to be a convenient tool for solving the rectification problem without camera calibration. In this paper we propose a new algorithm which has much less geometric distortion in the rectification process. Several image pairs were tested to demonstrate the applicability and reliability of the proposed algorithm. Comparisons with other method are provided to verify the performance improvement of this new scheme.
