Abstract
An embedded bi-planar coil-based integrated current sensor is designed for the application of power factor correction (PFC) integrated power electronics modules (IPEMs). The detailed design procedure and implementation of this current sensor are presented. Experimental results show that the designed current sensor has good general switching-current performance. The high-frequency performance of this current sensor is good even though it cannot detect the DC current directly.
