Abstract
In this paper, a new image watermarking algorithm is developed. It is designed for the use in. noisy communication channels. It uses a distortion technique based on noise modulation where the expected channel noise may help to increase the watermark robustness as the user adds noise that is consistent with channel noise in order to embed the watermark. Experimental simulations are provided using a MATLAB R13 program to demonstrate the efficient performance of the developed technique in terms of robustness to a variety of attacks and reliability of watermark detection.
