Abstract
In this paper, a flywheel drive is proposed with 2-axis active position, regulation having one unit of a bearingless motor. Other three-degree-of-freedom is supported by passive magnetic bearings. Basic force and stiffness characteristics are investigated by magnetic field analysis.
