Abstract :
The effect of two CoCrPt:SiO2 layers for perpendicular recording was studied in this paper. The bottom layer helps to obtain smaller grain size, where as the top layer helps to maintain high coercivity, etc. It was observed the macromagnetic properties can be improved by having a stacked structure. Also, the two layered or stacked CoCrPt:SiO2 layers was analyzed to be better than single-layered CoCrPt:SiO2 media.
