Abstract :
By analysis of a practical case, this paper built the maintenance cost model of the complex item with compound failure modes, one of which has characteristic of potential failure. The procedures and methods of the modelling are also discussed in detail. At last, the practicability and validity of the model outputs are validated by way of numerical examples. The model and methods in this paper may be directly applied to solve homologous problems.
